Live Auction Items

We are pleased to announce the following orchids will be featured in the live auction:

Dendrobium cretaceum - Dendrobium cretaceum produces stunning flowers with delicate petals in shades of white, cream, or pale yellow, often with intricate patterns or markings. Its growing requirements are very similar to those of a nobile Dendrobium.

Donated by: Natt’s Orchids

Dendrobium anosmum - Dendrobium anosmum develops long canes that lose their leaves in winter, and then develops flowers all along the canes. The flowers are 3 inches in size and are fragrant smelling of fresh raspberries and cream.

Donated by: Chicago Botanic Garden

Cattleya species - A species to be announced, from the collection of renowned Cattleya grower, Bill Rogerson.

Donated by: Bill Rogerson

Coelogyne multiflora - This is a division from a plant that received a Certificate of Cultural Excellence and an Award of Merit by the American Orchid Society in 2021. It is a vigorous grower and floriferous species, with a strong fragrance.

Donated by: Barry Lubin

Dendrochilum pulcherrimum - Dendrochilum pulcherrimum is one of the more compact yet showy species in its genus.  This plant branches profusely forming a very leafy and floriferous specimen of 4-inch long, fine chains of tiny orange-gold flowers that are lightly fragrant.

Donated by: Jim Ault

Brassolaeliocattleya Hausermann's Holiday - Vibrant, large 6" + blooms on this mature Cattleya hybrid, currently with two flowers and three buds.

Donated by: Orchids by Hausermann

Cattleya Brabantiae x amethystoglossa - This bifoliate hybrid produces pink flowers overlaid with pink spotting.

Donated by: Kay Perry

Vanda denisoniana - This is a specimen sized plant that blooms delightfully fragrant, two-inch flowers. The flowers are initially green to chartreuse, and as they age, they transition to bright yellow to gold or even orange with a white or light yellow lip.
